Vortex00 I’m pretty sure there will be a lot of reading in this post. I have a lot to write to you all about so bear with me.
So far I have asked one artist to see if commission work is possible for umichan. And for the recorded it is not pinoytoons. His art is drawn in flash, and for Umichan stuff I need photoshop or sai, with heavily shaded style coloring with super thin lines. you know, similar to how I do it.
basically I wont mention this guys username, but the way this artist operates normally is one commission order at a time. then to be fair for everyone, you go back to the end of the line and wait until he finished any other orders before you can back up the front. And while all that is happening, he asks his patrons if they have have anything they want made and those fellows get priority of any non patron orders. making the wait time variable. he mentioned it can be from one or two weeks per order.
Well those who know anything about umichan around here know that the game has like 20+ characters not including teachers, store people, and gemco agents, background students and custom characters… I probably need like 40+ character drawings. a week or two between each drawing is acceptable if I’m trying to make this game in a reasonable amount of time.
He then suggested a group of images at a time. I but I still don’t think it will work out because of other conditions. These conditions include, giving him credit on the title screen of the game (fair enough right?), posting a active link to his patreon on the title screen (eh.. ok I suppose.), and finally the show stopper for me, he will post any art the does for the game on his personal website, patreon and other art upload sites (wait wtf?).
At this point I am wondering why I am even paying. This would be completely reasonable IF the art was completely free.
For those wondering my thought process on this it is as follows:
if you are marketing yourself, both in the game and out of it, links and credits on the title screen AND spoiling literally all the contribution you have in the game, the only reason someone would even play it is to see my contribution. the stuff I did. And since that is the case, why even bother being a part of the game? much less me paying for it. The money I’m paying is to add value to the game. the portion of value is moot if it is spoiled before the game even releases. I don’t think he understands that. his entire system is designed for the casual commissioner and not a game commission. thoughts ?
In other news, I’m a bit all over the place. I edit the neck lines. I haven’t made the shadows under the face yet though.
I will probably go with the middle one.
I this morning I started randomly making patties hair in 3D? In hopes I can finish it to update the pattie mmd model with more accurate hair.
Also I started drawing 2D stuff for pattie when she is with Maiko. If you see any issues with the lines now is the time to mention it. I will probably finish this later today. It will have a school, gym, and nude version with jiggly boobies.
Now onto other stuff. It’s kind of been up in the air what I want to do for umichan. It still is. all 2D art? 2.5d mmd?
I’m pretty sure using neat and different positions from mmd models will be useful. however the system in umcc also has proven to be effective. But I think I’ll be ok to use mmd if I made several changes in the current models. I need to fix the lower portion to have the open and close vagina. I’ll probably use the old one though and I would to update several hairs. OR I can try to draw everything I need in such a way where it is at least mildly customizable. such as the pattie pic above and the sytra one from earlier. this will save me any future potential headaches when dealing with things that are borrowed. such as the cafe outfits. It is safe for me to do 2D since I have a patreon for it.
There are a few other ideas I had. I think it would be interesting to play a portion as Tsugo and his story with Joey and Zytra. And also potentially when playing as Maiko to at certain points be able to switch to pattie or Maiko’s sentinel. the sentinal could be interesting. it could be something Riley wanted to follow Maiko around and keep her focused, and the player is the AI of the sentinel.
so thoughts on the commission situation, the art, and the ideas are welcome.

Wait what? The whole idea of paying someone is to do a work and the guy that pay the money is the one that makes the choice if he wants another site to post it. Or keep it secret until they feel it is time to post it. All I can say is it’s your decision to make. You can give him credit on the art but everything na. I think his way of doing stuff is different from your way of doing stuff. So both of you bump heads over that. But you are paying him so that decision is on your hands. This is the way contracts work both agree in what terms. The good thing about it is you can always stop and look else where. Also he is working on his own project so that is a double for him and talking longer to do what you pay him for. Let me end it by saying it is your decision what you feel your project needs in other words your interest.
As for the necks you shown of Luma, ether the second or the third makes it look better than the first. The third one is right to but she looks like she is a shorty in the third. I think you might end up with the middle one too. Quick not the original the first one her breast is bigger than the other two. LOL I get what you was trying to do making it look right.
As for the Pattie scan line be careful with her neck and upper part of her body connected with the neck. I already see a long neck just by looking at the MMD and 2D scan line side by side.
Tsugo so I take it you still have that select character so long ago in mind for this flash? You always did wanted to tell other stories of the characters. As for the sentinel I get it it’s like the camera view behind the characters. It almost sound like a spying mini using the Sentinel. LOL
yeah it is not a good idea in my best interest to hire someone that will spoil everything in the game.

not really spying. just influencing what she decides to do. or jsut during hentai scenes to zoom out to a third person view maybe?
I hope the neck on the pattie pic will resolve when in the school attire and a draw in the collar
Kyle and Tsugo would both have interesting stories. Kyle’s would be more playful and harmless but Tsugo’s would be more story driven.
I see a camera type where the sentinel is the player viewing the hentai. And influencing what Maiko does. Makes for a interesting mini.
Hopefully everything with Pattie comes out right. I’m sure it will, you are already aware of it since the other drawings.
With Kyle would be funny do to Alma starting the story with a agent taking Kyle to Alma. Alma piss off putting a dog collar on Kyle leg. So the playful harmless would be a interesting plot. But his buddy Jay wants buddy pics and is like WTF man! LOL
Tsugo would be more story driven, would be funny he wants to confess about the love to Zytra. But Zytra is trying to help him win over the other girl. LOL
Well yeah Zytra might be the more guilty party here thoguh. She loves shopping and he has tons of money. I’m thinking she would be basically taking her time to teach him. In her defense thoguh, she is really busy being in multiple clubs, and probably stressed from doing so much stuff. So Tsugo yeah starts to take it upon himself to help her feel better and deal with her busy schedule. he has lots of money, and a penis, and lets ztyra do whatever she wants while she is with him. and doesn’t mind if she is busy most of the time. he is perfect for her lol. he also thinks very highly of himself of course. yeah he can start to love zytra more because she is into fancy things. his rich parents like her. Maybe his dad likes too much even lol. Everything is great until he realize she barely has any free to spend with him. And maybe the busy life of zytra, her sister and Zytra’s high profile popular friends like Luma, Roise, etc is not what he is looking for.
Joey has loads of free time and is usually around somewhere drawing, sewing, or looking at flowers or something lol. So after all that he would comeback to makio for help i think. Or maybe Joey just asks if he wants to hang out one day casually because he was looking depressed. And it happens on the same day he needs to be somewhere with Zytra. of course his rich parent don’t approve of Joey the emo. heh. I would be a interesting story to say the least.
for the kyle yeah Jay would definitely be helping Kyle fix this situation he is in where he gets the lame for everything. As I was discussing the the forums in Vld I think it might be interesting to have some none of them even know about responsible from breaking everything. It might be the first time kyle is actually trying to do something not perverted. Maybe even savori helps because she really likes him but just isn’t ready to admit it, nor ready for sex due to her past.

I’m definitely not talking about pinoytoons here. Though I do see the confusion, and will edit some of the wording. But I don’t want to mention the person name either to not cause them any harm or potentially any monetary loss.
As I mentioned, I am used to how pinoytoons operates. and other peoples methods seem very inferior in comparison to his when dealing with game development or any large scale project.
Pinoy’s probably just worried that spending that much time working on commissions like this would leave his Patreon barren and make people want to stop donating. Though posting ALL content is pretty ridiculous, but you could probably find an agreement to let him put some of it on his blog, which as long as it’s clear that there’s more to be found on your site, it could double as advertising for you and keep him and his fans happy.
But this is all the musings of some shmuck on the internet and should probably be taken with a grain of salt.
it is not pinoy I am talking about heh. He recently finished some art for a ARIA game I am working on with Amp. And you haven’t seen any of it. I showed it briefly in my end of the year video. the fact that is exists and you haven’t seen him post it, should be proof enough that he is not who I am talking about. I still order art from pinoy regularly when he is not busy.
In my post I am praising pinoy for the great commission system he has. but maybe i will remove his name completely to avoid confusion? lol
pinoy seems exactly the opposite of this guy in fact. now hat I think about it. he works on long projects and hardly ever posts anything at all. and most of what he does is long drawn out big projects that he cant contractually post due to the request of the commissioner. hence the barren nature. I think currently he is doing stuff for a adult paysite so you will never see any of that stuff. I guess people still sign up with mega hentai paysites.
I replied to the e-mail of the guy in question I am talking about here. with my views expressed here. I will see what he says.

I did something similar to this that can be seen on my next post. I didn’t just put shadow on one side though because none of the other shading is like that. and the shading is a bit lighter
