    1. I updated the file to include 10 different settings now.
Also what trouble were you having ? not being about get a punch in ?

  1. level 10-9: Basicly just spam attacks and when she defends stop attacking for half a second and then attack.
Level 8-7-6: Same stragety as 10-9 took some punches.
Level 5-4: Same as 8-7-6 but almost lost.
Level 3-2-1: Used hairpin tried to block use combos, charge in tons of different ways but lost anyways.

    Didnt use hairpin on 10->4

  2. One thing I’d suggest is have her wait a second after you start before she attacks to give you time to block, otherwise between hitting spacebar and guard going up you lose half your health on the low difficulties before it even starts. Also the only way difficulty 1 seemed beatable was block low til she ran out of endurance hit once or twice and use hairpin to regen health/damage her, takes far too long to be enjoyable but it’s not impossible to beat. Wouldn’t be worth not raising your stats though.

    1. Forgot to mention it takes a lot of luck for her to get low enough to safely attack, usually she’ll just randomly attack slowly and regen her stamina so all you can do is watch the hairpin slowly work.

      1. Yeah her AI won’t let her drain so much stamina that she can’t smack you when you lower your guard. if you open with punches immediately you can cause Jeni to guard instead of punching Maiko instantly. Thanks for the feedback

  3. Strat 1= Laming it out till she runs low on endurance. Lowest I could win on was 5, but that was a fluke and I wasn’t able to replicate it or win other levels that low. In order to bait her into losing endurance you have to take too many hits and she doesn’t let her endurance go below 20 normally.

Strat 2= Time attacks directly after a punch animation. Was able to consistantly win from 5-10. I think there’s a delay/cooldown to attacks on block so this worked pretty well.

I was not able to win 1-4 and I used the hairpin fully in each fight.

    1. Thanks for the feedback. Being able to tell what stats people can win on gives me a idea about how long it will take people to reach a point where they can beat Jeni.

  4. Number 4 to 7 is the sweet spot for a match. 8 to 10 well you can over power her through just punching without using the hairpin. 1 to 3 is where Maiko gets her ass kick. Even if I use hairpin you run into problems in a big disadvantage.

Not like it matters by much since Maiko doesn’t know how to fight. So starting at the lowest than building exp will get her better at it.

    1. four to five or so is the ideal number I am looking for people to be able to beat her. Also I plan to have those basic GemCo guard dudes two or three times as strong as Jeni lol. idk it depends. maybe just higher HP.

      1. how about another test stage in the future with a generic dummy using Jeni stats+10-100% stat modifier vs a Maiko using the settings from 4-10?

        1. This test should be enough. I think Jeni is as hard as she needs to be.
I think in the game after you beat the them first time, they will begin to get stronger based on the amount of time played or days in the game that passed.

  5. How. What. Why can’t I. Stop punching me! KHALEI POWER!!! Okay, I won! But did I punch her? I’m not sure. I could just be bad at games. I’m not sure I’ve ever been particularly good at Punch-Out-type games.

Loving the new site background! Odd that it doesn’t feature a core character. Unless Remi has a greater significance than you’ve let on so far.

    1. Thanks, Remi could easily have her own game with characters like Bri and TT in support roles. It’s just the matter of who’s perspective I wanted to tell the story from. Most character I try to make interesting enough to have their own game.
