A lot of ideas from UMCC carries over into UMCH and are expanded on yet are simplified at the same time.

Currently these are the planned (non hentai) minigames for UMCH, more may be added later.
Cafe waitress
Classroom test
Swimming
boxing
sentinel battle
guitar practice

However to satisfy the female rivalries quest, you will only need to beat Luma (or her requirements) in four specific minigames ones. The Classroom, Swimming, Boxing, and Sentinel battle.

Unlike in UMCC, Maiko won’t be able to take students around to different places after building up relationship. So you won’t need to bring Luma to a certain area to challenge her. Instead to challenge Luma or beat her challenge in some cases, requires Maiko to build stats until the requirement is met. Also in minigames and quests, certain characters won’t be available until seeing them in a social setting a number of times. it is intended for new players to learn about the personalities of the characters a little bit. I plan to have it where seeing a character in a social setting number of times unlocks other stuff also, like hentai for that character, progression of quests, etc. Aside from days, it is how to pass time while on side quests.

For example in a minigame, for Maiko to challenge David in boxing she will need to have at least X amount of melee and X amount of fitness and needed to see David X number of times in any of the socialize dialogue scenes throughout the game. Maiko beating David in addition to have X social events, X melee, and X fitness for Joiry will be requirements to challenge Joiry, etc. Specifically in boxing, Maiko will be able to challenge random students in the boxing club freely to build up melee but even those dude will be tough. these random students are not named characters and can also seen in cafe as a pleasure client. I’m planning on having Pattie as Maiko’s initial training partner.

example on a quest, the quest, or continuation of a quest, might trigger in a certain areas after seeing the required characters X times in social settings. You might think of this as passing time, building relationship, or getting popular. However you want to look at it. in terms of getting popular, for example when Maiko achieves some milestone (leveling up the cafe, etc) she gets these “social points” with every other character. So if you want to be more objective based and just grind out minigames you can. you just need to hit the milestones.

Back to the example of boxing say david requires 10 melee, 70 fitness and 20 times in socialize. Maiko could get more “popular” each time she beats like 20 normal dudes around her level and up to a max level. Every time you get a popularity increase, it boosts everyone’s social value by 5 or 10 or so. so you now you met that david requirement without randomly clicking socialize hoping david will appear in a scene.

this is just a example. some quests or activities will just require Maiko to have money, or have leveled a stat or something.

Also on the topic of boxing. I plan to make it a more integral part of the game. Similar to UMCC Maiko might get scanned/attacked by sentinels in certain areas because of her hairpin. The boxing minigame will serve to remove them.

Similarly in UMCC GemCo agents appeared at the mall and prevented certain activities from happening. Maiko had to go pay to remove them. in UMCH that will make a return however now Maiko can also choose to fight them to remove them. They will be pretty hard to take out but they will fight Maiko fair and square initially. However if you make a habit of fighting them they will use their laser gun in the fight and that laser will do a lot of damage.

I plan to for that to serve to represent the differences in Khalei training Amp, Arielle, and characters like that have versus someone like Maiko. in those other games Amp can shrug of a laser attack pretty easily. but Maiko will get basically 1 hit KO’ed, unless you seriously build up fitness and potentially get some hairpin power. I might add a small window to stun the agent to prevent them from shooting. Maiko might get the opportunity to also right agent with Luma, Lynn, Riley, etc. Might have a side quest where Maiko visits some GemCo training area Luma’s team goes to. But I’m not sure any ARIA girls could be there. especially Phia since I think there is a line in there about her wanting to meet Maiko.

Also optionally I might have it where Maiko doesn’t need to fight outside the boxing club at all. she can use her sentinel. or both. who knows. I not sure yet. Maybe later in the game some named Gem Co agent can come like Roy or something and Maiko needs to use her sentinel to disable all his aria gear advantages, block lasers and shit. then grind it out in a slug fest after his gear, like laser gun and stuff is disabled. Something like that might can happen when they come looking for Jinru after the whole Lynn fiasco.

I should have a new test of the boxing minigame soon. it is will just be the basics for now to w/ Pattie and the random dudes.

[23,24,199,191
113,167,15,107,218,47,102
post-23324","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-article","category-featured","category-siteupdates","category-umichan-featured","tag-blog","tag-game","tag-hentai","tag-news","tag-umch","tag-umichan","tag-updates
["GET
