A lot of time when a discussion of UMCH comes up in various places around the net, some people may mention that the boobs are too large while others counter mentioning they like big boob characters. There are actually several characters will all different breast sizes in this game. this is more clearly show in a post jccq89 made on the SPV tumblr
In each group range/size there are exactly 5 characters. So the statement that the character boobs are too big is lost on me in most cases. Some of those characters shown are not in the game yet. keep in mind it is still alpha. but even taking them out, you have 4 to 5 in each group.
Now having said that, I have recognized that most if not all of the smaller breast characters, are pretty anti sex. out of the 5 girls posted in the smallest breast group, three of the five girls posted have exactly one sex scene each. When I explain why due to their personality, some people care, some people don’t. While I want to have more sex with small chest characters, I don’t want to destroy the personality of the existing characters in doing so.
This is where a character created from Vld will come into play. I have been working with Vld to design this character to fit within umichan stuff. This character will fill the role of smaller chest character that likes sex. In terms of personality she is fairly anti-social but loves sex, wearing lewd clothes, reading lewd books, etc. However not many guys are physically attracted to her. plus she can be a little hostile when challenged.
She probably will probably be a regular fuck buddy of Kyle and other nerdy guys, but also will be looking for others guys to fuck. For this reason she tries to hang with character like Zytra and Roise a lot because they are popular and she noticed they both wear lewd underwear and attract hot guys.
Deliah also likes anime and games and will be part of the game club added later. She also is a fan of Amber’s secret smut books and stories.
Though she likes sex, she will pass on people like David because he is such a asshole and guy like Chris because she sees them as pretty boring. When she is added, she can be found in the boxing areas and at the cafe, and beach area.
For the cafe she will not be like be a normal girl working there, but more like a assistant. This should make more sense later. Also Holly only had outfits for at least medium breast size girls so the top part of her cafe outfit is a little big on her heh.
as for the eye-patch, if I recall correctly someone broke into her house or something and attached her and/or her parents. I’ll sort all that out and have some discussion stuff for it later in the game dialogue scenes.
But yeah the eye-patch, messy hair, thin body frame, and anti social personality will be the reason most guy usually pass over her for some of the other girls. This could be true for players also heh. Most characters will not know she enjoys sex enough to the point where she will do it with almost anyone though because they never really bring it up since she doesn’t really reply or talk much when the conversation is not about sex or anime, games, etc.

My favourite, as I think I’ve probably made apparent before is Leyah, As the Girls get “Bigger” they do seem to enjoy sex more and take a larger part of the story across the multiple games, I personally don’t have strong feelings on this one way or another as I enjoy the characterisation more then the looks or size in general. That being said there are exceptions I do find when I play, I myself enjoy girls of “Regular” (But how do you define that) proportion?.
I’ve always found the Leyah sits very well in my thoughts/definition, I also found Savori does, as a female in the story that doesn’t necessarily immediately want/enjoy sex as a character, also as one of the most developed characters besides Maiko in the narrative, but one whose story develops to winning over and whose friendship/relationships develop through the main plot, to the point where perhaps more than just friendship is on the table?? 😉 .
Also Lynn, however Lynn in herself has had multiple variations and that being said, if you look over the character history both Lynn and Leyah have gone through many re-designs over the time you have been Developing Umichan games and appeared quite differently.
That is not meant in any way offensively as i’m sure these characters have all had many changes over time as they develop and became a large part of your work, it is more a sign that both the characters and the games they are in have had further development, input and designs in revision over time.
I remember a “Gravure” Idol Leyah who was closing in on Zytra Territory and of course Lynn and the boob cream. I also remember Amber in UMCC who had as much “screentime” as several of the other non lead characters, but less? of their sexual appetites – savori also being an exception story wise.
Ultimately though there are a wide variety of characters in Umichan’s extended world/universe, I have been less active of late and so I’m not sure about the most recent releases, but Roise has always been a more self enclosed less sex orientated character in the past releases despite her larger chest and BRIGHT PINK totally attractive hair!!!
I think as many say, variety is the spice of life. There’s no particular right or wrong answer here and each “sex” scene or decision has to be based off the character otherwise it won’t work with the game in the long run, that being said I always love when you are adding more characters and more scenes to the games, I feel it makes a larger more lived in world and is not going to hurt long run, (except by eating up all your valuable time) as long as they are developed (and people don’t mind the extra MB’s, I sure don’t…) Ultimately keep up the good work. When the games develop and more characters are introduced they have to diversify so they don’t repeat, as such we get to see more variety and more we enjoy (Sorry about the amount of terrible comments in brackets, but not everyone is going to like everything and some of your followers are going to like some things more than others.)
Keep up the good work and i’m sure we will continue to enjoy what you produce, I hope you continue too also.

Many thanks for the feedback yeah I lot of thought went into savori even back in umcc days she was one of the first developed characters. in umch I tried to expand development into characters like zytra and how she takes of leyah but has her lust for fancy stuff she can’t afford. This games more explanation to leyah also. She tries to stay positive but her life situation is not exactly the greatest. Her parents are gone and her older sister has been dealing with a shady dude for money to support them. about the gavure stuff for leyah yeah that was kind of like model photos zytra might do. and leyah is always willing to help sister. she is not shy about her body as seen both in umcc when mako takes picture of her, and in umch during dialogue scenes where her top will be down on purpose. I also touched on the David incest also. Where Jeni kind of keeps him satisfied not necessarily because she wants to, but just to keep him from molesting other girls. I think I am missing a lot of story and explanation here still though like some serious plot between Maiko and Greel. I’d gather that most people don’t even know Maiko has a thing for Greel. they’d sooner place her with Kyle. which is fine, but not really canon.
yeah all the characters have been redesigned quite a bit. I think in terms of physical appearance Leyah has changed the most. She used to have dark blue hair with a single bun in the back. No hair accessories or ribbons at all.
about screen time of characters with different sexual appetites, in particular Amber, I was just mentioning this in the boxer post. if anything it safe to say the characters have very different libidos. yet in umcc maiko can take them anywhere to have amount of sex and they will follow without question or consequence. I feel like this a major problem because takes away from the development of the character and kind pauses the sense the character made up until that point in favor of just seeing a sex scene, but I feel like the logic should always be present and the initiation of the sex scene believable. There is literally no consequence for maiko dragging amber into sex from sun up to down daily, skipping class and everything. she doesn’t bring up any issues with it at all. it is extremely out of character.
For Roise I think she was just not developed as much yet. But now she has some development and kinks thanks in no small part to @unticop. If anyone is the closet sex freak it would likely be her. Using things like glory-hole to hide her face or doing sex acts as medical procedures. Making perverted advances on characters then feign ignorance if she get caught or about it get caught. She doesn’t have major story or history yet but she very unique I think. And more of her development will come when i add in the ice cream stuff.
That correlation is something I noticed but never really thought was a problem per-se. Like as long as there’s some content with each major body type I didn’t think people would be too upset. It is good that you’re trying to cover your bases though and bringing in a character from the forums is a really cool way to do it too. It does make me wonder what it takes to get a character of mine into the game though. Hehe
It not as noticeable here. The comments mostly come from other forums and stuff. It’s pretty fair to say small boob stuff is lacking though. I think there are only 3 of those in the game. Bug again it’s just how it is based on the character personality. As I mentioned in the post I don’t feel that solution is not to change the character to have more sex just because there are less sex scenes of them, but instead make characters that actually fit the role better. Deliah was actually originally supposed to be in umcc, I am just now getting to her and she also happen to conveniently fill this role. As far as making a character you would just need to write them out in the forums or something. I was taking requests back in umcc days around the time the custom character thing was created. But i stopped taking requests because most people had very basic characters. the only personality was they like to have sex a lot. Which is fine as seen with Deliah, but there wasn’t much else written.
I don’t mind adding more but they need to be able to fit in with other character and the lore without throwing too much stuff out of whack and have a lot of backstory to work with, personality explained etc. It took a while to get Deliah where she needed to be from Vld original description of her. and I had to ask Vld a lot questions but she is here now. basically I need to understand the character enough to just to not have to keep asking what the character would do in a certain situation. But there is room start a new character now so of you have ideas for some can make a form post about it and I can check it out.

Hm… I remember you mentioned bringing back the lingerie shop back but not having a character to run it. Do you mind if I take a shot making that character? I have someone in mind that fits pretty well with how the last shop was run and since she’s tied to that store I don’t think she’d be able to get in the way of any major plot stuff.

I figured there would definitely be changes between versions but based on the evolution of the cafe owner from UMCC into Holly in UMCH. There would also definitely be some similarities. So I wanted to try and keep the important factors of the original owner while also making her something new and exciting to see. I’ll post a description in the forums in a bit of what I mean exactly. It won’t have every necessary detail about my idea but it will have enough to know if I’m on the right track.
While I admittedly prefer small breasts I’m not about to complain. Large breasts are more popular and tend to be in the bigger demand so I’m just happy to see any small breast content. Although seeing a new tiny boobed girl is pretty damn awesome.
It’s not something even noticed, so it you noticed something it would help mention it. I try to at least explain why it is or isn’t a certain way. I think it comes form the character I use to advertise the game. you not going to really see a Amber or a Riley in too much of the promotional stuff. I will mostly be the playable character. But it think it gives the impression that games only has voluptuous characters. It is just something I don’t really think about too much because i am already aware there are sever character in the game. but person unfamiliar with the game does not know this. I just make sex scenes based on the if the character would have a sex here or not based on the situation. It actually has little to with the breast size at all heh. There are big boob characters in the game like Mika that have no sex. the character to the right of Roise, Alice think. will be something similar to Amber, very shy etc. that will be kind of opposite of most of the top heavy girls.

Anyway, about what people like or don’t like, it REALLY does depend on the person. Some will like big boobs, others will like small boobs, others will be more interested in the girl’s mind rather than her physique, and others will… just like or hate things randomly without knowing why or whatever.
Me, i’m a huge pervert, so i like the thought of any of them having sex scenes no matter who they are (even Dizzy and Joey and they’re the least interesting characters for me). I particularly enjoy the idea of Riley having sex because she’s a proper girl, Lynn because she’s an innocent sheltered princess, or Amber because she’s an overly shy closet pervert. Savori too because of her back story.
Leyah i like because she’s NOT just a pervert, but because she’s also a huge geek. That’s pretty much the same for Roise, somehow.
To contrast that, while i will do everything i can to see characters like Luma, Stacey or Jeni’s sex scenes, or even Zytra’s, i’m not as interested because of the rest of their personalities. I still like them, mind you.

Glad you like it. I haven’t had a moment o read the PM in full yet but I got it thanks. Yeah the character that don’t like see are the main ones you’d be interested in see in sex scenes. This is fine heh. I just don’t want to have “that likes sex in secret” tacked on to every description of the characters. a proper girl, that likes sex in secret. a sheltered princess, that likes sex in secret. a overly shy closet pervert, that likes sex in secret. I just want to have the closet pervert, the sheltered princess and the proper girl without making them all secret sluts that have sex with classmates and random people they don’t know. This is likely just not the right game for them. They are more the boyfriend and girlfriend type of characters. I’m much of open to things for Lynn and Riley in The Rookie where he can actually romance them over the duration of the game. For these character you need context and build up through dialogue and scenes, and I’d rather do that in a game is literally a visual novel.
I think there’s a difference between “likes sex” and “is a slut”, though.
Popular girls in school (at least in american TV shows, and i mean the characters that may very well be extremes) are the girls who are sexy teases, which pushes the spectators to dub them as sluts. Cordelia Chase in the BTVS series is one exemple: she dresses like a tease, flirts with anyone popular to raise her own popularity. Yet while she’s probably already sexually active at the beginning, she’s not a slut, and probably only has sex with people who are already her boyfriends officially. By contrast, Harmony Kendall, who is part of her posse, is NOT as pretty AND is desperately stupid. She probably would be easily convinced to have sex just for a bit of popularity.
Or they’re overly nice characters who everyone would like to have/bang/whatever, because they like everyone and try to help everyone, but they reserve themselves for the right guy.
Hentai usually exacerbes these facts, so a girl who is popular is either a complete and utter slut from the beginning, or a completely innocent gentle soul who ends up getting corrupted.
What i mean is that even characters who DON’T act like sluts will probably like sex, but have different requirements. Amber is obvious. She fantasizes a lot, but doesn’t do anything. It’s only WHEN she gets a chance with her crush that she ends up doing something. And it’s not out of sluttiness, even if she rsiks getting Joiry and Luma to break up when it happens.
Riley being the responsible role model won’t act on any fantasies she may have, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have any. That, or she’s saving herself for the right guy/girl. I wouldn’t put it past her to experiment with Maiko, her best friend who she cares about a lot, but not only would it be the only possible event (at least in UMCH), that possibility would probably be low.
Joey… sex with Tsugo would be her only real fantasy, and she WON’T do it with him unless he stops being a shameless flirt who not only tries to bang Zytra, but also looks at other girls like they were potential targets. She also would probably wait until she’s ready, and probably can’t accept that some people would be so casual about it.
Lynn has been raised to be classy AND is sheltered to boot. I particularly like that even though it’s a hentai game, you don’t portray her like the usual Hentai rich girls with completely unreasonable kinks. Far as i can tell, her lack of understanding concerns innuendos rather than sex itself. She’s probably interested like any other person, but also like any other girl raised her way, she isn’t interested to the point of trying it the first chance she gets. No matter how much i would like her to. When i mean innuendos, i mean a difference to how she would react to some words. Like, “penis” she would briefly think (and probably say) that it shouldn’t be used in a social setting, but wouldn’t react more than that. “Cock” or “Dick” would have her either stammer an apology and leave, or blush and scold whoever used the terms so casually. “Sausage”, “Organ”, “Member” and other less descriptive terms woud probably cause her to wonder what everyone is talking about, or go on an accidental innuendo herself. For exemple, with “sausage” she would say something about food (“juicy sausage with sauce” or “hotdog” or “sausage sandwich” and everyone else would understand the other meaning, but she wouldn’t understand their reactions.
Dizzy i wouldn’t be surprised if she had salty thoughts without realising they’re salty. They would also most likely involve fairies, unicorns and the likes.
As far as i can tell, the only character who BY NO MEANS could be said to “like sex”, let alone be called a slut, is Savori. And knowing her story, it’s understandable. And frankly speaking, as much as i’d like her to actually start liking sex (eve if only with ONE character), i think it would be more realistic if she went from hating even the idea to accepting that others like it even if she’s not interested yet.
I’ll have to play the VN at some point. Probably go back to playing ARIA too, but right now i’m more focusing on UMCH.

you actually have a all of these characters way off heh. Which means I need to make this more clear in the game somehow. But I think you might be adding stuff what you want to have happen, or how you might want them to think based on the show shows you mentioned, but it is not actually referenced in the dialogue.
Amber was not nipping at the bit to jump on joiry’s dick. She was talked into it by remi, and because joriy was injured, it was not totally voluntary, there was hesitation there. Yes she likes him, and she doesn’t want to see her crush injured, but she didn’t really have sex with him due to some sexual release she was waiting for.
Also Luma already understands Remi’s methods of applying medical procedures. That is why there is a scene in UMCH where she telling Joiry to not flirt with her. Luma doesn’t mind sexual acts is if for a medical procure. This is seen in the rookie where she helps him with medical condition but makes it clear to his she has a boyfriend.
Riley legit doesn’t even think about sex at all. Homework, grades, rules, the mission, assignments, being on time, etc. You can learn a more about Riley from the Rookie. The rookie kind of helps her get out if this mode from time to time.
Joey doesn’t want sex with Tsugo a all. She just likes having a guy chase her around, she likes that attention. She explains this directly to Maiko in UMCH. You can even see on the first scene of the quest she tells Maiko to tell Tsugo to leaver her alone. When Tsugo asks if he and Joey make a good couple she responds with hell no. She has no desire to have sex with Tsugo until Zytra threatens her status quo with him. Tsugo never pursued zytra at the start. Zytra came on strong to him after she found out he has money and to help maiko as the excuse.
Lynn, character is described in more detail in the rookie also. imo you will understand UMCH a lot more after playing the rookie. There are scenes in the rookie where the Rookie goes to Nanako.
Hopefully I have shown how none of these character jump to have sex even with just one person. If any of these character that did have a scene, was due to some outside force, and not really some internal sexual desire they had to get satisfied.

I had yet to see Amber’s scene, at the time, and i’ve seen it since. All i saw were her dialogues and fantasies, so i made a wrong assumption. Probably because she’s THE character i most want to see in these situations. I think it’s both frustrating and amusing that she fantasizes about things so much but that in the end she won’t do anything aside from that scene… though i’m still hoping Roise convinces her to try some more daring stuff. She’s my favorite character in the game, that’s why. That’s more like hoping Canon Ami (a.k.a Sailor Mercury) to turn into a complete slut. Or Hyuuga Hinata (from Naruto) to become one as well. They’re my favorite characters in their respective shows, and i can’t help these fantasies.
So no Riley/Maiko other than in the Umichan3D demo? *sob* Kidding. Much as i like the idea of debauchery for the responsible character, i’m not at that point. (although i’ll really have to play the Rookie soon).
I guess Nail was right in calling Joey desperate, then… it makes me a lot less interested in a sex scene with her. While it may be an understandable reason, i don’t think it’s a good one for having sex. And i speak from experience. The sex wasn’t bad, mind you, but knowing she only did it with me because she was afraid of losing me left a rather sour aftertaste. Especially since i wasn’t looking elsewhere. I’ll still try to find it if you add one, though.
Lynn is another reason i’ll have to play Rookie. Speaking of, what do you think of her making accidental innuendos? Even if she ends up being completely ignorant about sex… or rather, ESPECIALLY if she is ignorant, these would be priceless.

After playing through the Joey quest I also don’t think that she is all that “anti-sex”. She is at a point where she seems desperate to me even. (based on her comment about how she sees her relationship with Tsugo)
Dizzy is Dizzy and that only leaves Riley as a partypooper. (I love Riley, don’t get me wrong).
Please correct me if I got any of it wrong, but just from my perspective I see a lot of potential here for plenty of “small breast” animated scenes….
You are not wrong, these things do happen in the game, however I think your interpretations are missing some other details than give it more context and a better understanding about why there is only one scene for it, and something don’t really see as potential to add any more of.
Amber will only be brave enough to write stories and keep to herself for the most part. This is just her core personality. She even only talks about her writing with certain people like Pattie. I think Chester know also and maybe one or two more. She opens up to Joiry at several points in the game, not about her books. but just a general fascination with penises or what he has to say. She has a little bit of crush on him but keeps her distance because of Luma. That is what made that sex scene possible. She still didn’t immediately want to have sex with Joriy. It took Remi to convince her. To make this more clear to understand I can add a scene with David and other students getting injured or something and she wont have sex with them them. it was only because she likes Joiry.
For Joey, desperate was the key word you used. She only wanted to have sex with Tsugo when desperate to get him away from Zytra. She did not want to have sex with him before that point. And at any other point in the game she is clearly anti-sex imo. most famously calling people pigs. If Maiko decides for Tsugo to be be with Joey it will just go back to same thing as before Zytra tried to pursue him. Where she just kind of strings him along, have him chase her, and not give up the goods.

Thinking about it again, all that does indeed speak for an anti-sex attitute.

Dizzy’s situation is very well explained in her scenes throughout your games I think. It also seems clear why she sees David as a demon, and therefore resists the rape.And the way the scene was presented (her conversation with Maiko in the end) kinda left me wondering if Dizzy really understood what happened to her there. But I guess she did since you said shewas the one who reported David.
But I think you stated at some point that due to her condition she often accepts sex as a way to help people. So she’d be neither pro nor anti-sex, I guess… “Whatever happens, happens.” Correct me if I’m wrong please. ^^
I really like your visual novel, mostly because of the Riley path. Along with Amber and Phia I’d say she’s my favorite character. I think I get where you wanted to go with her character.

If you see a weird friendship with Amber and Joiry then you are likely seeing it correct since Joiry is completely oblivious to Amber liking him, a player could miss it also to see it as a friendship. The crush is not obvious.
yeah for the two shotas, Amber thinks about it but if they were actually serious, it would be too lewd and embarrassing for her to even begin. Her brain would start going crazy and overload and she’d just run away from embarrassment. Then go write about it as a lewd scene in her fantasy book. The problem it this is not really shown in the game. I can see that she needs more scenes to better clarify her character. As for them saying she looks slutty today, she could have been thinking about stuff to write in her book. She also goes to the cafe because one of the characters in her book is based on Maiko heh. This is revealed from Chester when he mentions her big boobed character seems familiar.
Yeah Joey is desperate for attention from anyone to acknowledge her, but definitely not for sex from anyone. She will not fuck people to get attention, aside from Tsugo. If she did she would not be in the situation she is in.

Blue hair girl is nicknamed Creamy, she is on of Zytra’s model friends. Same for the red head girl beside Maiko.
