so far I have fixed the weird lighting issue.
make it where you can shoot a snowball out and it will collide with the player and the wall.
just need to keep track of life and i will be done for now and will get ARIA wrapped up. going to try to just log the life in the chat window for now if possible like in MMO battle tabs. not trying to make a gui get.
later life will be “heat” like in the 2d game. i got a few ideas I want to try for this that I will mention later but for now this first thing will be basically a shooter template. just the bare minimum. never even made a shooter game in unity at all before. I don’t think I will have a game end mechanic just yet so player will need to just exit after they die. I will try to make if you die you will switch to a camera that shows the entire map so you can spectate.
it is crude but working. did a few tests earlier. will make a forum thread about it later with info. or maybe a group for these early stages in testing.
Very happy to see some one finally tackling Unity, for a mature oriented game. I think once you get a handle on it, you’ll like it. Haven’t been on the Unity site for a couple years. Still their demos they had, showed great promise, and impressive features. Might have to go back, and see what’s new there.
Still, excited to see Unity finally being used in this genre.
Thanks yeah it should be interesting. just did a 4 player test today and everything went fine. so should be good to go. making a game in unity is trivial. I do need to redo my mmd to unity tutorial thoguh before i forget.
And so it begins! It’s a start for now but hey it works! ^_^
Wow, even with the small issues, it looks pretty good. Thats promising!
Hmm… multiplayer.. interesting..
Im free this weekend if you want someone to test out the connection, i have a great internet connection and a reasonably good computer.
I’ll let you know if it get it working enough to even playing around with.
getting there.
