since people were suggesting stuff for ARIA that conflicts with my changes I had planned. I haven’t implemented any changes yet but I plan to do that today. Also I will begin to draft out some scripts based on ideas posted. Also I wanted to make some ARIA based arcade games.
planed changes for today:
“defeat” scene with Jeo will replace the punishment sex (edit)
consensual sex will be the current main girl sex.
punishment sex causes the girl to become injured.
Change love to approval and balance how it is earned.
Someone mentioned have a % less resources you get for repeating activities in the same area. I will try it and folks can test it. Luma scene replay sex button available to boost jeo for the next battle

Well if the charges conflict with a characters personality not everything will be added in what some of them ask. They don’t know what the characters personality is. So you might change these idea to fit with there personality.
For the changes of today you plan sounds reasonable into why set it up like that. The get less source for repeating. Only for the girls that find it annoying and boring to do. TT probably would never get bored do to her always liking to prep for everything for the ship.

Do to me playing UMCC and reading the bio of the Aria team. I have an idea what there personality is like. I think these users should read the bio of these characters. I mean Aria does have a bio they can check. Or if there playing the game and pay attention they would know the girls better of what there like.
Looking foreword to Arielle side story.
Yeah I’d be surprised of any of them were perfect on nailing character personalities down for a entire quest scenario but I was mostly interested in the overall idea of it. they well done enough to be useable with some editing.

Yeah, the feedback from Vortex gave a lot of insight into the characters that I hadn’t picked up just from playing ARIA. I know I’m happy for bits and pieces of any suggestion I’ve made to be used how Vortex thinks fits the story. 🙂
The bios are helpful but they still leave room for interpretation. After all, it wouldn’t be practical to have a 1000 words for each person explaining all the important stuff. 🙂 I’ve been using the bios and I didn’t realise some important things that Vortex has mentioned in feedback.
I haven’t got through much of UMCC though. ARIA’s structure just feels like a better fit for me personally or something… And I’m a big fan of Pinoytoons, which helps.
Can’t wait for Ari’s side story, but I’m not sure what reducing the resource rewards in an area means. I was under the impression that asteroids can be mined when they show up–maybe adding a time limit on the gathering missions?–but maybe Space Stations can be tweaked so that they start off packed with resources and then you scavenge for increasingly smaller amounts on return trips until it’s empty? That should work with the GemCo fleets as well, or maybe you can scavenge from one of the ships you sabotage before the rest of the fleet shows up?
Recover should also require resources. Maybe an amount of food and fatigue as well, or a Research item (Medical Supplies) that can be become more effective and less expensive when Goo shows up?
I think trying to recover does consume lots of food and reduces some of their stats but not resources. Oh yeah you reminded me wanted to make space stations where you can only enter them so many times per area before they are empty each time.
The stat reduction is fitting. I hadn’t even noticed! Same with food: I just check it every few days and make a bunch if it’s under 500. Phia gets plenty of free time to draw in mercenaries while I balance everyone else’s training and obedience.
I had something I wanted to ask about: mutiny and time. I think that there should be consequences for low obedience and low approval in all of the girls, and maybe something different if obedience or approval hit zero. I don’t think a mutiny should work, or that there should be scenes if it does, but I think there should be consequences to it: if TT mutinies, no more Research until you’ve made up, if Bri mutinies no more resource gathering, Ari and Phia no raids or default sex?
As far as time goes, I also feel that there could be some kind of countdown to either a forced, overwhelming battle (maybe Cain or Yui show up?) when reinforcements arrive or a game-over if Dr. Natan pulls off something crazy after a really long time. Similarly, blazing past certain people might allow you to ambush the next boss and take out some of their ships without a raid? Maybe ambush two ships if you make it in less than seven days, one in fourteen, and reinforcements arrive after thirty-one unless you can research some kind of jamming signal in time?
…eh, the game might not need that kind of complexity. Just thinking out loud. On a keyboard. On the internet.
I think those ideas are really good! But only Vortex knows how hard they are to put in the game or if they fit with the story.
If they are hard to put in like you described, maybe they can be done with dialogues. Like if a girl mutinies, Jeo has dialogue options to fix it. One option might be to fight the girl and defeat her (end with punishment? option to kill even?), either as space battle or fighting mini-game. Another option might be to just let the girl go? (Except I’m not sure Jeo would do that since the girls offer him useful help and abilities… and sex!)
If you take too long in one area, maybe there will be dialogue warning you to move on (like Arielle says to Jeo it’s time to go). If you don’t listen, then an extra strong force will surprise attack Jeo or the girls. After all, the longer he stays somewhere, the more likely that GemCo finds him! If you lose, you get injured, lose stats or lose resources. Maybe all the girls are injured for a few days or something. If you win, maybe you still lose some of those things but not so much?
I don’t know but I think those ideas could probably be good in the game somehow. 🙂
I think if you get raided or the main fleet shows up and you loose any minigame it is a game over state. I think defending the main ship will be it’s own little side event. I’ll have to work it out.
yeah sounds good I like the overall idea of them. It would be better than making some % reduction on activities. actually earlier I was seeing how many days I took people to be at the game. I need to check that again since I have changed the way it works since then.
