Going to make a few changes to the menu. nothing major just a bit of reorganizing. will post more on that later.
Once I finish ARIA 2.3 and the next UMCH demo I will spend some time marketing the game to build up my patreon a bit since I hardly ever do that. So I will need to spend time monitoring forums and and discussions. and making little small things I can upload here and there to spread the word around.
ARIA:
hopefully 2.3 will be wrapped up soon. yesterday I fixed a bug with the ship mod system. I need to add in a few more animations and attach the side story stuff to it and it should be ready to go. Not perfect, but at least in a acceptable condition. I still need to also finish writing the walkthrough. I’ll probably have it in pdf form or something also.
Pinoytoons should be working on a animation with Phia and her brother. I told him I not really in a super rush thoguh. I sent him the info right in the middle of the holidays. I think right after Christmas heh. He is good about getting stuff done so I’m not overly concerned.
UMCH:
got swim socialize done recently. There are currently 34 interactions in the cafe and the same amount at the pool. well done enough to include in the game. and updated the art for UMCH swimming mini. It looks a bit goofy since I made Maiko boobs pop in a out when swimming. But UMCH is kind of meant to be quirky / goofy like that anyway. It felt very “umichan” so I left it that way. Hard to explain. Currently working on fixing bugs in the boxing minigame code. There is a issue where the chance for the opponent to punch will become zero and it will never go back up. I will need to post a new test for that also when I think it is working. Hopefully that will be soon. Added random dudes in the cafe sex minigame now. I think some of those dude will appear in other places also like the boxing minigame, etc. ttrop also recently finished some art for part of the shower stuff. still got more videos to upload. will try to get those done soon.
So will the new animations like Riley and Amp get put in 2.3 then?
Think Vortex said Amp will definitely be in 2.4. Riley’s animation is done and I think Lynn’s is also but no word on if either will be in the next release or not. If either are included they might be part of the Patreon version since at the moment I don’t know of any differences between the that version and the free version.
I’m talking about stuff like Remi and Bri and the the side story animations.

Just joined this patreon tonight and haven’t made it far into 2.3 yet but I’ve already found several new animations! The game as a whole is pretty well improved in a lot regards, I think. Definitely worthwhile. Not that it wasn’t awesome to begin with of course. ‘Tis my first patronage for good reason after all! Just sayin’. 😀

It is deserved! I am something of a hentai artist myself, doing sprite work and character programming for “MUGEN” on tumblr but in a better universe where I have the relevant technical skills I would be doing stuff just like you’re doing with ARIA and this overall storyline too. Like, startlingly similar honestly, haha. Sadly, I know nothing about flash. Nothing at all.)
Probably not the place for it so feel free to scold me but just wanted to throw a few thoughts I’ve had so far about 2.3. Hope it’s ok!
Over 2.2, I like how the sort of meta-game has come along, especially in regards to Arielle and Phia. Arielle has an almost naturally progressing battle score independent of “train” thanks to her superior usefulness in fending off raids that really supplements her role as the group “fighter”. (I’ll be honest, I can’t seem to quell those raids with Phia -at all- but I’m probably just no good at it.) The same can be said of Phia presently too thanks to her being almost singularly reliant on her Charisma score that progress naturally basically just be virtue of using her the way your kind of urged to. Possibly even a bit too much so, as I’m not even out of zone 2 yet and her charisma nearly matches Jeo’s already! Giving the raid missions to her instead of Arielle also feels like the right move as she’s simply faster at it than Arielle and it gives her those precious few combat points that Arielle is going to be gaining in spades anyway. Back to the raid defense topic: I’m kinda hoping eventually an incentive to use Phia in these sections pops up, ‘cuz like I said, I just find Ari soooo much stronger for this. Maybe it can be used as a chance to recruit mercenaries using her charms the way “free” allowed her to do in 2.2? Or perhaps her more pin-point accuracy approach versus Ari’s “BLOW ‘EM THE F*** UP!” approach allows you to scavenge resources from your fallen enemies after winning? Maybe both! 😀
On to Tiffany. She feels a bit more balanced now in combat, as I recall a lot of people saying she basically -couldn’t- lose before, though I’ve also not progressed her very much as -her- meta seems to be placed on her ship stat presently seems to be a purchase-only upgrade and I tend to spend my cash on stuff that makes me more cash first. I think a Tiffany-specific mini-game where she is tasked with implementing new ship mods and building up the girl’s ship stats personally would be cool. Maybe something like the circuit-building one from UMCC? Y’know, just to get her more involved.
Which brings me to Bri, who sadly feels kinda left behind this time. She always felt mostly there to make tie-in references to previous events in the story through TALK (which I do like) but she also used to be (IMO) vastly better at resource gathering than Tiffany. That mini-game appears to be gone, however. Now all I can think to do with her (which I no longer even have to do as you don’t give commands to every girl now) is have her train for those battles she wants nothing to do with and then when I send her out she comes back injured by default and after one or two rests will begin repeatedly refusing to do it anymore so I have to beat her and start her recovery over and I find myself wondering why I played as her to begin with or why she’s a playable character at all now, in spite of her neat battle mechanics. My Bri presently exists just to occasionally get tossed into a war-zone, come back beaten and bloodied (and most likely raped) then get her ass repeatedly re-kicked (and probably re-raped) by Cap’n Jeo. Which I guess helps characterize how much a dink he is. Which is cool too! Love character development. :p I just hope she finds her place in the crew again is all.
Anyhow, I hope at least a little of this verbal diarrhea counts as useful feedback. Gonna stfu and get back to playing now. 😉
