well they are not bullets it khalei lasers. We know from ARIA lore that khalei can actually be absorbed into the skin. And you can assume these guy have the gun setting on non lethal. especially in a school. or not? it is GemCo after all.
edjust finish this part of the quest interaction, need to finish Maiko pill mechanics stuff and a few scenes with Luma and it should be where it needs to be.

Will there be a way to avoid or dodge the shots? For me that looks like an instant death for the player (Maiko).

Sorry I’ve been out of the loop for a few weeks but what the fuck. Now Maiko is going CQC with a gunman. Must have missed some shit.
Not really. It was pretty unexpected for all of us.
Maiko by end of UMCH Maiko is fighting off agents yeah. The game tries to explain that even the most basic grunt level agent is very strong.
