I suspect people might be looking for some UMCH updates. I am still adding the sound code to the 116+ files that make up the whole game. I have to say it one of the most mundane things I have done in quite a long time and I am really struggling to get through it. There’s not much to say beyond that at the moment. I’m getting there. Hopefully this post will somehow help me speed up a bit.
That sounds like a lot of work. Don’t push yourself too much.
Like the saying “There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.” It sounds like UMCH is almost done and that’s something for us all to be excited about.
But if you need to take it slower, I’d recommend it. This large and well designed game is worth the wait.
Many thanks. Yes just lot of mostly programming work remains to be done.
why are you adding sound to UMCH
does not need sound to be good
Sounds help to convey what is currently happening in the game. It’s pretty important to have imo.
Good on you 🙂 Remember it’s the menial tasks that make the outcome great. Keep going! we’re behind you on this 100%
many thanks for the comment. Shouldn’t be too long. just longer than it usually takes me to add sounds.
I totally get that feeling… Just make sure not to push yourself too hard and take a break when needed. No need to rush things, as it might come to bite you on the ass later.
Take care now.
Many thanks, It not the biggest deal in the world and is commonly the part I don’t like the most. I only made this post because someone brought up a topic that had this as the root cause.
I’m pretty excited but if it’s that difficult you need to chill out and no push yourself too hard. Guys I think UMCH is far from finish because there’s a lot of stuff that needs to be added and endings to be polished. So I guess the sound will be one step closer to that finish. What I’m saying is that you shouldn’t rush vortex because publishing a work that your not confident will ruin your morale and this will affect his other games such as the water gun game.
I’m almost done but yeah I’m definitely doing more than just adding sound. doing UI work and adding in some of the seens I created for the separate chapters.
don’t worry about it! keep pumping out crazy spastic boob bouncing low quality MMDs to pass time. maybe make some more “games” as well! anything to keep patreons hooked for a few more years while you “add sound to 116+ files”, after all, god knows what your source of income will be when the only game people truly care about is “finished” don’t stress yourself out! that is the important thing. it’s just a hobby, not a full time job :). and don’t listen to the haters who would dare say that 1 update per year that brings 2 new animations is not worth 10 thousand dollars a month, we both know quality 3 second animated loops take up a lot of time, especially when the anatomy is so well done.
tl;dr big fan of your games since your beginnings. <3 don't exploit your patreons too much.
P.S. if you want someone who'd fix the (sometimes awful) text dialogues for FREE hit me up.
Sure let’s go ahead and ignore the fact I post multiple tears levels of content to my patreon every single month including game updates since 2014. And the fact that I explained several times why I add sounds last before I got the point of adding sound. Let’s pretend like I haven’t been making games since 2008, and that I’ve “exploited” non existent patrons that somehow existed “before” 2013 when patreon was created. Let’s pretend like I didn’t make ARIA in addition to multiple smaller games at all and I’ve only been working on UMCH. Let’s pretend like you only need animations to make a game, programming and anything else takes 0 time. But since we are talking about it, there’s 70+ animations in UMCH and I’ve been working on that game for just over 2 years. let’s pretend like that equals “1 update per year that brings 2 new animations”.
tl;dr if you don’t like my content then go find stuff you do like. It’s really simple.
P.S. No, I don’t need your instigating bs dude. even worse when you have idea what you are talking about.
