A new layout, the idea here was to have the least amount of hidden menus as possible. Also the UI is broken down into 3 major components, Pilot Information, Ship Information, and Plant Information. Which should be easier to explain what each ones does on component level. The main objective of the game will be to explore areas, and hostiles on each planet. These stats can be seen in the planet information section.
Space battles may take place high above the planet in space, or in low altitude above the surface. As you can see the opponent is some Alien lifeform instead of the enemy GemCo ship.

concept exploration main screen. The main objective here is to explore as areas without needing to go back to the ship.
exploring utilizes click shooter gameplay. Environments, enemies and target reticules will match the theme of the planet.
some exploration will require the use of a item. of have a percent changes of having a positive or negative effect on the pilot.
both story and hentai scenes will unlock based on reaching milestones based on the character. For example a scene for Arielle might require completing 5 space battles on Planet 1. A scenes for Phia might be to defeat 20 hostiles on planet 1, etc. There are 5 planets planned each with increasing difficulty.

also been working on UMCH I’ll make a post about it later. Trying to get at least one sex scene in each area. I might take out the sent battle for the public demo since it is pretty unfinished. Also been trying different things with the UI.

No, this is separate game. And for the record (again) I don’t have any issue with pinoytoons art either.
This new Aria game looks interesting exploring planets sounds like a good concept. So taking place after the first Aria flash?

Well… TT her higher up needed her by the end of the Aria flash game. Maybe to point to unknown planets. Because somewhere in the planet Natan was illegally involve. But they can’t point to what. Plus many planets are in war with humans because of Natans action. So they are looking for any trace for Natan. So going to planet to planet searching for any leads. Because they left in a dead end in the last flash. This flash takes place after UMCH. Goo,Amp and Android are in the team for this flash if you want to add it like that. Not only are they looking for Natan. Aliens all of types declare war on humans. Because of Natans action in many planets. And the fact Gymco didn’t know the shit Natan was doing. They just finish finding out. So looking for Natan and fighting a war with different types of aliens. Natan use the boob cream on some of the female aliens. They where experimented on. Turns out Natan can’t get the formula right. And is out there somewhere experimenting. That is as much TT discovered. Lynn’s dad is beyond piss off that this happen without his knowing. Those who know about it or have anything to do in helping Natan. He wants there heads…. he wants any agent to send them to him. Yes Lynn’s dad is taking this personally. Now the fat ass is nervous the one that fuck Amp. Because well he know about it so and actually did help Natan. He didn’t know Natan went that far with other planets. The fat ass wants to cover up his shit. So he calls Arielle the other girls.. and Jeo the guy he finds annoying to go find Natan. But there is a war? He doesn’t give a shit go find him and terminate him at all cost! By the way Jeo is talking shit, telling him ha I know that shit was going to happen being a buddy buddy with a dipshit. Well both of you are dipshit only one is a skinny ass the other is a fat ass. The fat guy tells Jeo to STFU and go find Natan and terminate him. In the fat ass mind… if they kill him without asking question that will get me out the hook. God damn it that four eye took it to far. What the fuck was he thinking experimenting on those aliens that are warrior born? If you share the evidence with Amp and Goo they can confirm there boss was involve. Well Amp have not seen Natans face but Goo seen everything when she was in the tube. So the team have a witness, but goo wants to fucking kill Natan and the fat ass for doing this to her. Yeah you can tell I’m just thinking stuff I wouldn’t know how you would do this. A shit storm is going around Gymco HQ all types of rumors.
I like the idea of setting this after Aria with the crew tracking Natan, my suggestion being branching stories:
– Lynn’s dad offer money/resources if they share info they get on Natan with the promise of better things if they catch him (plans to betray them as they know too much)
– Jeo and the others can share the leads with the angry aliens and they offer a peace treaty if they deliver Natan alive
– Jeo wants to help Goo and Amp with their revenge: catch Natan, extract anything he knows about Lynn’s father and get rid of both
Yeah I like the general idea mentioned here that the hunted becomes the hunter. And Natan is hiding out somewhere in space trying to finish his ultimate experiment or whatever.
The way aliens are describe here makes it seem like the are intelligent lifeforms but I’d rather not do that. They are more primal, like mutants or beasts, not in a humanoid form.
Goo and Amp being along for the ride make sense. But I’m not sure I want to add Amp, at least not right away. Maybe Amp took her rebels and are looking for him in other areas in space.
I think it depends on how big you want to make it and the style. If it’s mainly exploring, perhaps it could be at the same time as ARIA? But if there’s lots more and story progression, maybe better to make it afterwards? Actually, afterwards would work even if it is smaller and based on exploring. Maybe Ari gets a malfunction in her navigation system and needs to look around for resources or clues as to where she is?
This is what I was talking about in my post on new games versus old games. This is taking Jeo and the girls on a new adventure. Instead of just updating an old game and adding a few new scenes. Which you would just have to play the same old game to see a few new features.
I thought that the 2.4 version completed that story. I didn’t see where adding a few more scenes would make me want to play it again. This would be like a breath of fresh air. There is a whole universe out there for them to explore in the future.
You can always take any ideas or comments that was made about the 2.4 version that you liked and implement them into the new quest.
Like the UMCC game they talked about it getting winter and you could have made a new adventure about the winter classes. but I guess UNCH would be that follow up instead.
I like new games and I know you have ideas on some games you would like to make. After you make a game you can start to work on a new game and read the comments and reactions on the old game and add the ones you like to the next chapter of the game if you so desire you want to make a new adventure.
I like the pictures ive seen in this post they look good. I’m excited to get to play it. I think Ari looks great.
But all that being said between you having a full time job and all the different post you have got going on .That you have to read and respond to I don’t see how you have time to make a game period. You must be some kind of super human. V00 don’t spread yourself so thin that one day you get burned out and throw your hands up in the air and walk away from it all.
Thanks for the feedback. I wasn’t looking forward to editing all the BGs in UMCC to be snow covered. Especially when multiplied times three for adding the different times of day.
Also The stuff you wrote at the end is something I have been thinking about for the past two week or so probably. And in general off and on. But I will make a form post about it later.
I never thought about snow . I was just using that game as an example. You said one time that people didn’t want to let go of the old games for you to make new ones. I’m just saying instead of just keep updating do like your doing with Ari here in this post and make like an extension or new chapter .Which might help keep you from getting burnt out on doing the same thing over and over.
Some don’t even want me to do that thoguh lol. But I think my more recent stuff is worth it.
I agree. With ARIA the possibilities are unlimited. There is a vast universe out there just waiting to be explored . New people to meet and new things to discover. Its not something you would have to do right now though . Its something you can always expand on with new and fresh ideas.
I’m sure I will enjoy UMCH when its finished and any new game you have in mind. Thats one of the good things about you .You have more than just one game.
Ive purchased over a hundred games from a Japanese site that 99% of them I didnt know a single word that was said. They are not easy to finish like that they are a living hell. But I like a long adventure game where you unlock things as you go . I finished the majority of them ,I’m sure I missed a few things. But there was a couple of them I never got to see the credits roll at the end. so its nice to play a game you know what is being said (SMILE)
Yeah all of this is really one big story. they all exist in the same universe. Many characters in ARIA actually come from Umichan including Jeo, Luma, Lynn, Riley, Cain and Yui. I could easily make a story just focusing on Kim, or Roy and Sui-May. Or Cain’s team with Luma and the girls. I actually started making VN about it a while back.
Yeah Umichan is the adventure game fix. I just try to make stuff that I don’t see commonly, if at all.
Are you going to use the same rear view for the character? (referring to the shooting scene)
Cause the hair gradation for WIP and pinoytoons looks different, and I tink it would look better if you change the hair gradation colour to match with WIP. Body, weapon, etc. should be okay as is.
It will be the same rear view but I will be updating those also. I will show updated shooting poses tomorrow or soon’ish.
