decided to work on UM3DO a little bit yesterday.

I finally have it where you can’t walk through walls.
I also have simple npc Ai working. It’s easy to make simple Ai for single player. but gets a little tricky when trying to make Ai work in a online multiplayer game. It works but I need to fix it up a bit. Below is a video showing these things. The Ai follows the closest player.
once I have that working I’ll go through the feedback and add in what I can.
as for PvE I’ll probably some kind of arena base game mode where it start with one enemy, then after it is defeated, you fight two enemies, then three, etc. until about 10 and it will rest to one again.
what will be considered “fighting” and “enemies” remains up in the air atm.
currently you can shoot little balls at other player characters and when they are defeated you can initiate sex with them.
could make something with ARIA also which would be easier. If any has suggests for it please post them.
So the wall is finally fix and your adding A.I bots for the single player. Yeah it was always tricky to get the bots to play at the same time with online players. Usually they limit the A.I numbers and what they can do. In most of these online vs like Titanfall the bot players are dumb ass fuck.
The bots will probably be dumb here also XD
I’m planning to have it where the they move towards the closet player and shoot at that person also. if that person dies they will go for the next closest person.
you can easily use strategy to basically “taunt” the enemy off of another player by moving close to it spread out the damage.
but I might have it where if they are far away from their target they will move a bit faster.
probably easier to make a ARIA arena first with sentinel drones. something like a horde mode.
for umichan i was thinking something may similar with a bully you need to defeat. or it could be like the camera/park mini game where character need to follow you to a certain area of the map. something like capture the flag I guess.
was also thinking about making crystal horror online also and with umichan students heh.

If you want an Aria based single player thing you could recreate the ship raiding with Phia as the player. Shoot the enemy agent guys then sex them to get power ups/ammo/ energy.
I don’t have a phia model modeled yet but I can give it a shot. was more interested in online stuff thoguh.
So the single player would essentially be a game with just one person it in it.
I was going to see if I can build a little obstacle course heh. need jumping working thoguh.
I thoguh about the raids but the problem is literally anything moves would need to be synced. that even included the doors you would need bombs to open.
The cool thing is since the BGs in ARIA was made from a model in unity. it could a game where you actually can play in it. I think if I did a single player 3d aria game, especially with phia, i’d try to make a little realistic. like a sniper game or cover shooter or something. there’s a nice unity asset for stuff like that in the asset store.
Oh I think I get you. If you’re looking for something that could be function multiplayer or single, maybe like a juggernaut shooter mode. Where one player is a key Aria character that’s super overpowered and everyone else is a grunt trying to take them out. (Which in hindsight i realized is just the getting raided mini.) The agent that beats the key character becomes them and vice versa.
Forgot that the Aria backgrounds were actually 3d, I’m so used to the bg that it just slipped my mind. Playing in that would be a cool little… easter egg? Trivia bit? either way it’d be some kind of neat.
The does sound like being raided heh. maybe the Ai could be the aria girl and players are the raiders. Well at least in that mode. that way it can still be both single player and multiplayer.
i think for a raid I would have just sentinels shooting at players and they need to complete a obstacle course.
Creating 3D games only by yourself is a real challenge. Can you please tell, how exactly do you want this game to look like once it’s finished?

I’ll personally better stay on 2D side and will continue improving my skills on this direction. =\
A challenge but can be fun to figure out how to do stuff. I don’t have a particular look in mind or have anything I want to compare it to. It is another thing I just work on for fun. For now I’m just trying to get the core mechanics working. After that I will see where it can go from there. 2D skill applies to 3D to make the textures for the various 3D Objects. some games even have the story in 2D comic book style, etc. just look at Street Fighter V.
YEEEE I finally can watch videos here!! (finally a decent connection haha), I never commented a 3D video/game of you(till now), but I always liked, 3D have her good things xD.
Why don’t you try making an Artificial Academy with UMCH/ARIA characters ? will be good xD.
Making something with ARIA you mean 2D or 3D?, if you mean 3D will be cool,2D too haha, explore the ship, have a shower with the girls, these things hehe.
Thanks yeah I mean 3D and something a like more action oriented heh. I’ve still never played artificial academy but I’m not sure how much I want to play with Ai beyond for combat purposes. Maybe I can watch a let’s play of it. Also you can get fairly close to make umichan characters in the game. Every female character is already made.

Nice to see some progress on this.
Ai seems basic wich kinda works. They should target the closest player and follow them, when they get hit maybe target that player for a few seconds. During a full all out fight (oh the fun of the last online demo we had, lol.) the ai could be mistakable for another player.

Thanks yeah if I can get multiple Ai spawning in working it would be great. Yeah I need to have some additional logic to make the Ai a little smarter when I get it more stable.
one thing to maybe add is a ai manager this can say if player 1 has 5-10 ai on them after that the other ai will go to player 2-5 randomly or by some rules like who has the least sorry if this is not a good example but defiantly have a ai manager
