  1. I may or may not implement all of this part of this or none of this. I have thought about it enough. But I would be interested to know what people think about different things I mentioned here.

    1. I think all of that sounds like a very good idea if you can pull it off. And the girls free time they go do things base on there persona. That also but more colors of personality of the girls. I’m guessing that if they are free after the action. You still get the action to talk, make them cook etc to be in the game.

      The upgrade the ships is something that would add more RTS. I think it might be what the hard mode needs. Yes I tried it on hard. Let me tell you it’s a pain in the ass. When you start, even when you are getting to the next stages is still a pain in the ass. Once you upgrade everything. The fight starts to get easier. Getting raided really fucks you over big time on hard.

      So I’m all for more options.

  2. Looks interesting but the reinforcement thing worries me. The lag is already a big problem for a number of people and even on a decent PC the game slows for me when a boss ship pops up. I guess we can wait and see how much your change to the lasers helps but for now idk.

    The shield breaker lasers are interesting. Upgrading TT’s ship even a little bit puts the game into easy mode since she makes your nodes almost invincible. This would restore a bit of balance I guess.

    1. Reinforcement ships are probably least likely causing lag. I put it on patreon so you can try it.

      TT’s ability uses ship which can be upgraded in increments of 50 very easily so idk. I don’t really want o her to use Khalei but I might have to. maybe like Khalei x2 or 4 or something. She shield breaker laser should cover it enough thoguh.

      1. Tried it last night, got a boss ship to spawn as early as Roy’s level which is 3 i think?

        First of all, whatever you’ve done up to this point to help with the lag is noticeable. Any similar changes would be welcome I’m sure. As to the point, the boss ship doesn’t really add that much lag unless there’s already a lot happening on the screen. If people who have lag problems get rid of ships via raids or mLaWs then having 1 boss ship show up shouldn’t hurt them too much.

        1. the assault ship might though. but I might able to make them shoot less overall after I add the enemy abilities, like shield buster laser and EMP. it will add some new strategy to the game.

  3. I like the idea of possibly acquiring special agents from space battles. Space battles used to increase your stats, give you resources and gave you what was then called mercs. Currently they only give agents which won’t even happen when the player reaches the proposed cap of 2000, so giving the player a reason to space battle is a good idea.

    1. lol you need to do space battle to complete the game. even to progress in the game and unlock more characters and hentai. But yeah potentially getting interesting crew members will be more incentive to play repeatedly. I’ll work on it.

  4. Upgrading ships sounds good, choosing specific stuff would feel more personal than the stat changes.

    Not sure what to think about the extra agents though, are some of them going to be important characters? Or are all going to be mook guys? (I know you mentioned the stat changes but I mean more story wise. And would there be any secret guys to find?)

    Also does the change in day system mean you can only have one fight per day? And will that change the way support characters in fights?

    Unrelated note, good on changing the dialogue for the Kim anal. I was originally going to ask why she vanished when it implies she stuck around but I forgot until you fixed it.

    1. I agree with the Kim change, was also gonna mention it but I got sidetracked complaining about other things.

      The day change thing is interesting, I’d imagine there could be multiple fights per day unless there’s a story based explanation that I missed. Some things, like rest or recover, should probably take the character out of the whole day but unless Jeo knows some tantric stuff then other things should only take 1 time unit. Vortex mentioned it being similar to UMCC and there were things there that didn’t use a time unit, like sentinel battles or showering, so I’d imagine it would be similar.

    2. idk about mook guys but they would not be essential key members for the story. They would her perhaps on par with Tony or Kim. They’re would be characters harder to get then others or secret characters.

      changes in day means you can do a total of 4 or however many it will be actions per day.

      Yeah the captured prisoner thing is a bit of a struggle for me to implement because the game was not originally coded to support that kind of mechanic or even to easily shift over to it, so I’m not sure if I will even keep it. I added it on a whim.

      1. Personally I think having the captive is good. Just adds a bit extra to the universe somehow by having that small role for minor GemCo agents.

That is what the recruitment mechanic was for. you can get random agents for that instead the problem with prisoners is people want main characters to be captives which throws off the game because then I need to mane a random agent for you to fight. then people start complaining about not being able to unlock hentai. or saying that is a bug because the character doesn’t appear correctly on space battles lol. it snowballs into multiple problems.
          maybe when a agent appears after battles you can recruit or capture them. I will try it and see how it works. but it will be for non key characters.

  5. Are the new versions of ARIA and UMCC only going to be available for patreons or will there be any plans for a free preview/trial on the updated games?

    1. Vortex is currently planning to make a version of ARIA available here next month. It will essentially be the full game with only a couple of features withheld from the patreon version. He said as much here:

      UMCC is completed as far as I’m aware. He is working on UMCH, which is a kind of a reimagining of UMCC with additional stuff planned for the future. UMCH is in development so there is no playable demo yet. The most recent alpha is here:

  7. I can already see Phia on her free time having “lots of fun” with different characters making her Love up high.
    I really like the idea of upgradables for the ship. Maybe add a toughen up armor for the ship so it resists more damage?

    1. I will have thet for lesser ally agent ships probably. but to counter that get high charisma by doing sex with the girl a lot.
