  1. Excellent stuff, as usual. I kind of liked raiding the ships. Sometimes the battles were too hard or caused too much lag with so many ships, so I’d raid a couple to get rid of them. If you get rid of that, then that would only leave the M.Laws? Then you only have the option of doing the full battle or battling one ship after using M. Laws. :/ Maybe you could change the raids to the shooting mini-game? Idk…

    I did some audio work on some videos a few years ago and whatever program I was using allowed you to set the volume to a certain dB level IIRC. That way all the audio was roughly the same loudness. Any option like that in your audio software? Otherwise, it must be annoying doing trial and error to get the right volume for the voices…

    1. Vortex previously mentioned that if he gets rid of the raiding/being raided mini games they would be replaced with something else. Most likely a much quicker mini game or a stat check on the girl to see if she can raid a ship/prevent being raided.

        1. If I had it stat based I’d probably have it where you can choose different objectives in the raid. and it would cost varying amount of resources and/or bombs.

          For example the girl can attempt to totally destroy the ship which would cost mostly bombs and have high chance of success. Another with a bit lower chance of success and cost a bit more resources and needs a bit more combat level to have a good chance of success, but in that one if successful you will gain mercs based on the girl. You might be thinking Phia, but I actually think Bri would get the most mercs in that kind of situation since she is all about talking it out. Then a final one that is harder to be successful but if you are you find containers on the ship depending on the ship. also the difficulty depends on the ship the boss ship is harder.

          This method will allow me to easily make a way to remove the shield ship also. The one that makes the big bubble on the battlefield.

          if you lose the first one where you bomb it there is a pretty good chance the girl will get away. for the other two it will probably show the defeat scene where Jeo comes to rescue them all too late.

          1. If it lets the player get rid of the shield ship, then I’m all for any change that allows that. The shield ship does it’s job from a gameplay perspective but the fact that I can’t remove it even with MLaWs always bothered me.

  2. Nice vid. Always interesting to see how differently people play games than I do. Even if during the last battle I was yelling at the screen to have sex with Amp to boost Jeo’s stats to 3000 lol. Also, with the save codes, you can just press Ctrl+a to highlight the whole thing instead of selecting it with the mouse.

    So apparently you decided to increase the ship upgrade costs along with reducing it to one girl. I’m really not getting this because the 50% increase in price and reducing it to 1 girl translates to a 600% increase (750% when Remi is present). Also logically I just don’t get it since 1 ship mod can be shared between all the girls but 1 ship upgrade can’t? If anything it should be the other way around, researching a ship upgrade would involve figuring out a way to optimize ship components which should apply across the board where as 1 physical improvement could only be placed on 1 ship. Also by limiting the ship upgrades to 1 girl at a time you’re really pigeonholing the player into picking 1-2 girls for the entire game or forcing them to start over from scratch. For new players, this would probably prevent them from ever experimenting with the other girls once they found one they like.

    Do like the upgrades though, really nice new feature. What is the A.I. robot going to do now? I think the original plan with her was to have her handle attack ships but maybe now she could enough of the ship processes to allow it to accept an additional mod?

    1. This reminds on of the guy I was trying to tell on patreon that different people the game differently and why I am usually reluctant to make something easier. And I’m certainly not the best player. A lot of that is proven by the highscore minigames on this site.

      I forgot about Amp affecting Jeo’s stats but as you can see there different way to get the job done. I chose to boost Tiffany at the end with shotgun mod, and get a few nova and matrix and I was good to go. I was actually looking for Luma to boost Jeo but I forgot how to unlock her lol. I just remembered it was something to do with Phia and a high level of respect and sex.

      as for the ship costs and sharing upgrades, you are looking at as a player while I view it from a programming perspective. I just simple don’t want to add that many variables to the save code. doing it the way you mentioned here adds about 76 variables to the save code string while the method I use adds like 28. The sharing method is also safer in the event I want to add multiple characters you can recruit to the roster. it is also easier in the event I want to add more mods.

      speaking of save code I didn’t control+A because I was making the sure the code was fully in tact since I noticed a hyphen in the save code that probably shouldn’t be there. and yes it gets copied.

      ultimately I think I don’t really mind players exploring different characters on a different play of if the game. I brought Tiffany up to speed pretty quickly for the final battle while I was basically leveling up Arielle the whole time. I’m tying more to encourage testing different parts with different characters and support roles and less about just relying on high stats for every character. I think even capping the stats at 1k the game is very beatable even through the chain EMP the enemy eventually runs.

      And if I change the raid system as I described in the other reply,and add in those dialogue specific space battle like I mentioned in the post, it will have what it needs. Some of those battles can be character specific and reveal more about them.

      I think I will decrease the rate of fire for the enemy thoguh. idk. not from difficulty but because of lag. since some of the abilities are calling in he boss and assault ship even if you removed them.

      The Ai robot will probably still give Jeo a passive where all attack ships get destroyed. It wouldn’t be a mod thoguh.

      1. Yea Amp actually doesn’t affect Jeo’s stats, I was sleepy and typed the wrong girl’s name lol. It’s actually Luma that increases Jeo’s stats. You changed it so she is unlocked by having Phia over 100 respect and choosing sex with her as your last task of the day. Similarly, the yuri scene was changed to having Phia under 50 respect and chosing free/ok her as the last task of the day.

        Yea the save code is almost unmanageablely long already. I’ve never done any flash programming before, but is it possible to make the game create a .txt file in the game folder and then have the game read it back when the player wants to load? Would prevent the player making the mistake of not highlighting the whole thing.

        The upgrade thing just bothers me because I don’t get it. For instance, in Mass Effect 3 when you paid to upgrade a pistol the upgraded pistol was then available for anyone who used it.

        Also the cost thing just seems too high now, it’s effectively 1/4th to 1/5th as effective and yet costs 50% more. Previously we discussed how resources spiraled out of control because there was nothing to spend them on, but now the player can spend them on gambling for ship mods so it should be more manageable. The original price of 4k is ok but 2k seems better, 50% reduction for 1/4 effectiveness is a bit easier to swallow.

        1. The concern is noted, I might put it back to 4k at best thoguh. I am trying out different numbers thoguh I don’t see a problem with 6k. For this I don’t think what you want is ultimately what I’m trying to do in the first place. you are looking to do do something with a surplus, I’m looking to not have a surplus to begin with.

    The idea of Kim being a prisoner you discarded ?
    And this black square on the order screen (right side of Bri) ?

      1. Yeah it is Remi heh. I wanted to make random agents but is requires me making the abilities modular. At least for every new person. maybe there would 4 to 6 in total and a agent you find randomly has some combination of two of those. I was making a command thing for random agents like remi.

        I’m not sure what these abilities would be since a lo of the mods cover different stuff. one new ability I already gave to Arielle as a addition to her assault where she can boost the units by a high amount in a single already captured node. I will have to think about some alter unless someone can post some ideas here. I also want to make a another enemy ship type or two. Maybe one of those ships can disable the support ship for a while or even potentially remove it. That would be interesting to say the least if you are relying on support then suddenly they get removed from the battle heh.

          If you put random agents, you can put a female vs a male agent (like cain and others, don’t remember the name of others haha), and vs a female agent (like kim and others) put a male agent, if you win with this random agent, trigger a hentai scene like the random agent raping the loser hehe, just a idea, and this idea is not for now hehe.
          And the random agents you pretend to put is the generic (the one you rape) or some other ?

          1. This will be easy if I use the custom scenario stuff. Yeah the agents would be random but still have abilities and names. And can even have sex scenes.

          2. You mean the hentai scene, just cut the head off (don’t showing the face) and put some dialog and it’s done?.
            Names can be ramdom, abilities I have some ideas, but not so much I need to think a bit more.

          3. I think edits is more cool and it’s not hard to do, cutting the face is cutting a good part of the animation, the facial expression on a sex scene is very beautiful and sexy.

  4. On Edits to give the girls other positions.

    Really the only character that I think would be an Issue would be would be Bri -since you know someone will want to Anal her petite frame- since the other girls more or less have similar body frames -adult females with difference in boob size – while Bri is different in frame all together.

    Like if you wanted to do a bonus Edit gallery with the girls in other positions.

  5. Remi didn’t use the Laser Shotgun mod when you equipped her with it. Is this intentional or just another Remi oversight?

    1. It wasn’t supposed to work. I was just testing to see the it was doing what I expected, which was to not work heh. idk if I will have those characters upgradable or not, remi, jeo, etc..

      1. Jeo I get, he’s not upgradable outside of Goo/Luma scenes anyway, but why Remi? When she was an agent she wasn’t upgradable but now that she’s a playable character and is the same as the other girls. She can gather/cook/sex/fight the same as the rest so why not upgrade the same? Also you mentioned possibly being able to replace the girls with others so replacement girls should be upgradable.

        1. Because I want some characters where you need to play to the mechanics and not just stat pump them up and roflstomp the oppenent with high stats. You can already do that with phia. With remi I want to encourage things like the Nova+revolt combo. Maybe using these non upgradable characters gives a better chance for good crates or something.

          The other agents are not primary space battle they are intended to just provide a advantage. And any difficulty finding certain girls is moot if you can pump any of them up to any stat amount.

          1. If you want to make the space battles more strategic, not just train, train and go to battle with 999 in all stats and won the battle, you will need more hard battles or enemies with more powerful skills , like one skill can deactivate your rally for seconds, or deactivate your others abilities and etc.
            And you can increase the areas from 10 to 20, and put the special agents every 2 areas, like on the area 4 Kim, area 6 Cain(don’t remember the correctly order haha), and every new agent you confront have a new ship with a new skill to you change your strategy, at the 20 area the game will have a good difficulty to the last boss.

            Just a question about the new F. agents, all of them will be in the captive or will be in another place ? and you intend to expand the captive ?

          3. They will be a captive when you first get them. But you need to go down to captive and make them permanent.

            Only one can be in captive at a time so buying a new prisoner before making the old one permanent will override the current prisoner.

    1. I might get a chuckle if someone decides to live commentary of a playthrouh of the game. But I suspect most people will just bother me about it endlessly. posting messages on pages that already have it reported several times.
