This is top notch quality….But quick question, was I the only who didn’t know Arielle’s name is pronounced (Ar- ee- El- ee). I always thought it was pronounced (Ar-ee-el).
Thanks yeah I had to get the pronunciation of some names a while back when i was getting some stuff voiced. Also they all are not necessarily pronounced how they might seem based on irl languages. names that people tend to pronounce different than I intend are:
Maiko – may-koh (not my-koh)
Luma – Luh-mah (not loo-mah)
Roise – Roys (rhymes with toys, not rose like a flower)
and you can heard Arielle from the video.
I think that’s the Japanese pronunciation but luma in Japanese should still be Loo-ma in my opinion.. other than that the other names sound Japanese.. I only know a lil bit of Japanese and still learning it so I could be completely wrong with the Japanese thing… but just a thought
Miku, I might be wrong but I think ai is pronounced as I/eye. Like “hai.”. If it was Japanese, it would be Meiko.
It is made up based on preferences. Since there is no japanese, or american, etc in the fictional universe the characters are in, I don’t have those phonemes dictate a pronunciation of a name.
I remembered That you can hear Maiko pronounce Roise in the two scoops game.

Like ai = ay, u = uh, oise = oys. Or was it just random?

That’s cool. Whenever I play a game that has name input, mostly I make a name up and have similar rules of spelling.
I once called a character Tyehnecyeh. I wanna see if anyone can guess how that’s pronounced. XD
