yesterday I worked out how dialogue and socialize stuff will function.
It is pretty simple and straight forward.
much like ARIA except you can skip past the conversation at any time by pressing the Back button on the right.
the back button currently just takes you to a new scene. but in the game it will take you back to the area you are in or the the next part of the scene, etc.
full scenes may have sex scenes in there just like in ARIA, also it might have different sex or ecchi pics.
I’m not done adding in dialogue yet. there are 35 or 36 or something like that in there so far I think for the cafe stuff. Also some character will have alternate poses to better fit the lines.

This new dialogue system is a good addition. Helps to understand the characters better.
I was somewhat amazed when I saw Holly in there – she is a pretty tall one. As I recall, she used to be smaller.
Some questions:
* Will characters, whose dialogue window shows at the moment, be pointed somehow? It can help if you forget their names.
* Will more girls join the cafe in the future?
* Will the characters have more facial expressions? You may have answered already – sorry, if so.
1.) I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to put a marker over the current speaker’s head, but is that really necessary? UMCC/UMCH has a pretty big cast of characters but I didn’t think it was that hard to tell them apart, especially when there’s only 2 or 3 of them on the screen.
2.) Vortex said other girls will be joining the Cafe, though atm the only one I can recall is Stacy. Personally I’m hoping for Joey now that I’ve seen her dialogue. She could get a job there as part of some quest where she goes undercover.
3.) I’m not sure about this one actually. However since it would require completely redrawing the character’s face it’s probably pretty low priority. It would definitely add to the game though, especially since the characters express feelings of anger, embarrassment etc. but their face doesn’t change.

Brigma’s answers are pretty accurate. aside from stacy there was another character Vld made that I think was in the cafe. My memory is fuzzy on that but is written down so it’s all good.
changing facial expressions are tricky because of how I am implementing the dialogue for socialize. There can be happy normal sad faces. but i think it needs to be just one thing for the duration of the dialogue.
for quests the facial expressions can change.
Not sure how long Joey would last there heh. She wouldn’t even do one sex job probably.
o.O Rosie is into yuri and bondage? I hope this scene makes it into the game sooner rather than later.
Yeah Im glad that one made it in. Maybe if we’re lucky we can expect to see Roise with a strapon as a customer. Or maybe even a cafe boss fight, where you have to get her off before she goes too far with Maiko. > : )

Got trouble with the exe-file again. Only pink background and the Hair is visible. swf-file works fine. Maybe its an issue with the sideloading from the folder.

probably yeah, the directory is reading differently on you system with exes as opposed to swfs. if the exe file is not working I’m not sure how much I can do about it. I can’t change the way flash compiles it.

For the demo itself It Works well and putting some h stuff for certain ones sounds like a cool idea.

That is why I have you draw at 2x size. I size all of the images down to games size (gs). Plus it fits with the background the any other lighting effects, etc.
