  2. I like it a lot, but I think the current swimming minigame makes sense for the school pool. After all, school pools are generally just back and forth, at least from my personal experience. Having a system set up like course 2 would be pretty bizarre. So my suggestion would be to keep the school pool the way it is, but perhaps implement this new one somehow at the beach?

    1. Thanks for the feedback, a back and fourth could be made here also. If you notice when you try to force your way into a wall it turns you around almost completely.

  3. It’s perfect for what a swimming mini-game should be. Does lag on my laptop when played on it’s highest settings. Took over twice as long to complete when compared to its default settings.

    Fastest time on course 1 is 20.03

  4. Nice improvement from the current swimming game, I liked it a lot. I do wonder, however, how will you introduce the use of the hairpin in this game, the course 2 doesn’t just require speed but to release the acceleration to take on curves.

    1. Thanks, maiko can probably have a certain mechanic like that but most of the acceleration, turn rate, max speed, etc of it will be based on character stats and how you decide to increase stats. It’s not totally set in stone yet but that’s the general idea I have.

  5. Plays well, though I think it’s a bit odd that you can’t turn unless you have momentum going forward or backward. Makes Maiko feel more like a car than like a girl.

    Best time on course 1 was 22.00

  6. Course 1 is great. I can play it at the highest levels without glitches. Course 2 is a nightmare. I like this minigame a lot better than the previous one.

    – Water effects : HIGH
    – Splash effects : ON
    – Quality settings : HIGH

    I experienced lag with this settings.

    My best time in the Course 1 was : 24.96

    Well, personally i disliked this one je

    The concept seems odd, feels like im moving a car and not a girl lol. Between this one and the previews one, i would rather play the first one (the First Person View one), yeah it wasn´t by no means perfect, but it maked more sense (this will be set in the school, right? seems kinda weird having a pool like this) and it was much more fun to play than this one.

    Regarding the gameplay/controls :

    i like it more in this one, the previews one where you had to move the mouse frantically up and down was hard and annoying, it´s more comfortable using the keyboard.

    But putting aside my personal preferences i guess the game is fine, i would play it if i had to.

    1. the ones from umch i was getting complaints about how hard it was to play on a laptop touch pad. Also in the umch one it is not possible to really have a competitive race where i can show you racing another girls. Certain things like having a idle animation, and being able to turn while idle will make it feel more like swimming. this is a pretty early concept.

  8. How about adding the choice between courses swim and POV swim? Because while this one seems easier, the former one was more enjoyable somehow. To me, at least. Besides, some may like the courses better.

  9. I like it. My first play, I did med quality and med water effect and I didn’t get any lag. My time was 00.32.89. I then tried high quality and high water effect and didn’t notice any lags nor did I notice any bugs. My time was pretty much the same.

    I then tried course 2 and I didn’t do so well. I kept getting stuck and rotating the wrong way.

    I like this idea and look forward to seeing more.

    1. Thanks glad you like it. course 2 might take some practice and/or adjusting stats of the character(s).

  10. I like it as much, as the old mini-game. But this one is more rewarding, at least for me. Will you put more tracks in the game?

  11. The mini-game is nice, more enjoyable than the old one.

    But I think it would make more sense in a public pool than a school pool, I don’t think you would have this kind of exercise at school, but for fun in a public pool, maybe.

    Or maybe in the sea, at beach, so you can make longer circuit, with a little more room to move (because in the 2nd circuit Maiko constantly eat the borders), and maybe add waves, streams, fishes to avoid, one of the perv kids trying to steal Maiko’s swimsuit, I don’t know …

    I’m just throwing ideas here, but I don’t realize how much work it means.
    Anyway, nice mini-game, and thanks for your work.

    1. Thanks, it a not a typical school swim class, it is a organized swim tournament between the schools. Also the play area will be wider in later builds.

  12. I like it, but it looks weird, and seems hard to fix the “weirdness” of Maiko stuck

    How about, taping the arrow keys to increase and maintain speed, to make it similar to the actual game, but with a mechanic that doesn’t get boring after the first go

    But, this game is better than the current

    1. Thanks, the deceleration speed can be adjusted or based on stats. The weirdness might come from it missing several animations since it is in very early stages.

  13. I like it, but the controls make me feel Maiko more as a car than a girl. Anyway keep up the good wor!! (hope to be able to decide what to do in any dialog in the school: Chat, Seduce, Invite at home, go out…)

    1. thanks, you mean dialogue for this game? I’m not totally sure how it will be outside this minigame yet. I do have some ideas for it though.

      1. Yes, i mean dialogue^^: a little bit of role-playing and customization should be in there like in your other games.

  14. *shrug* It’s acceptable, I guess. I don’t like the complicated course at all. As long as the winning conditions are appropriately low, I guess this is better than the last one. I hope we still have an opportunity to see her swimsuit come off, like in the last swimming game.

    1. And my settings were all on maximum with no lag. My best time on the first course was about 27 seconds.

    – Quality: High

    My best time on Course 1 one was: 23.90.

    The game itself is not bad, it is smart for competitive reasons, but I still prefer the POV game over this one. A solution for the complaints could be instead of moving the mouse up and down assign buttons to represent strokes while swimming.

    Like the following:

    – Mash “A” and “D” to swim; press “SPACE” to boost; press “E” to active the hairpin power.
    – Mash “Left Arrow Key” and “Right Arrow Key” to swim; press “SPACE” to boost; press “Up Arrow Key” to activate the hairpin power.

    Just a couple of ideas that could solve the problems for laptop users.

Thanks I have a a pov swim game nearly exactly as you described in the past and it had a host of different kinds of complaints, such as not liking button mashing, they don’t like the keys I used for the minigame, etc. I just try to take feedback and see if I can possibly make any necessary changes.

    Course 2 need More than one minute。
    circular channe relative simple, Course 2It’s hard to judge in a shrinking reality box.If you do acceleration, add a speed hint.

  17. The old swim minigame was the worst in the game. I was able to get golds easily, but still never liked it. So i’m glad you wanna replace it.
    I had no trouble with this one. Just feel weird see Maiko swim in such weird trajectories.

    1. Thanks. This won’t replace the game in UMCH. this is for something different. instead of going back trying to replace everything in UMCH I want to finish and polish up what I have and have this new stuff for new games.

  18. I’m a competitive swimmer and the times these girls are getting would absolutely shatter any women’s world records.
